Bilbo's Story

Meet Bilbo! This special little guy is a double merle puppy, which is the results of poor breeding practices. He is blind and deaf as a result, but that doesn’t slow him down. He is 16 weeks old, and weighs in at around 10lbs. He is doing great with his crate training and his potty training too. He has an independent and curious personality.

Because of his special needs, Bilbo will need a secure fenced yard. He loves outdoor time and it’s important for him to have a safe space to play and relax. He would love a dog companion, but will need one that is patient as he cannot pick up on subtle cues. He loves to wrestle and plays chase with toys and friends. Despite his differences, Bilbo is still a corgi and has all the same needs as a normal herding breed. As he grows up, he will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. His new family will need to be committed to learning how best to communicate with and train him. Bilbo would do best with someone who is home most of the time, and in a home without small children (12+ will be considered). He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.

If you are interested in meeting Bilbo, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. His adoption fee is $475 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
