Bikini's Story
Bikini is a 1 year-old juvenile Weimaraner who previously missed out on almost all of the love and care which dogs deserve, including the opportunity to grow.

Bikini spent nearly the entire first year of her life in a crate, outdoors, on the side of her owner’s home. When a neighbor discovered her, they talked her owner into surrendering her, and Bikini then entered the care of someone with wonderful intentions, but poor living conditions (and too many other dogs).
While they tried caring for her, in the end this situation caused her additional neglect.

Bikini arrived with a mutilated spay incision and an undiagnosed tick-borne illness. After diligent care provided by our veterinary partners and medical foster family, she has overcome the infection with use of antibiotics.

Bikinis past may have been challenging, but her future is as bright as ever!
In her foster home, she is learning the joy of living with a family who cherishes her, supports her psychological & emotional development and growth, and is helping her socialize with people and other dogs. Bikini has healed from the corrective procedures to fix her spay incision and now dons a cute “bikini line” scar. Her overall weight, skin, and coat already have significantly improved due to receiving the nutritional support that she desperately needed; her fur is growing in. She’s a darling little bikini babe!

Bikini is believed to be almost completely grown and will likely always be a petite female; with that being said, what she lacks in standard Weimaraner size, Bikini makes up for in affection and exuberance!
She is looking for a very active family who can give her plenty of time, exercise, and daily structure, to now live her life to the fullest.
We are currently working on leashed walks, potty training, a schedule she is learning to rely on, and socialization outside of her foster home.

We feel Bikini may be happiest in a home with other dogs, and no small children, as she is currently still an exuberant puppy.
Ideally, her adoptive family would be one with Weimaraner or like-breed experience, and certainly active.
*We would like to find a home for bikini where there is no gravel or small rocks on the property, as she is quite prone to picking them up and swallowing.

If you are interested in learning more about Bikini, please email us at: contact@weimaranerrescue.org.

We enjoy providing more information before asking interested parties to submit a formal application.
Your time and consideration are valuable to us; thank you for considering the adoption of any lucky animal available through rescue!
