Big Midnight is a social butterfly who loves making friends, but he’s also got a big tank of energy that needs regular outlets. He’ll thrive in a home with an active family who’s ready to help him stay happy and healthy. Because of his size and strength, we recommend no children under 12—not because he isn’t friendly, but because his enthusiasm and size could accidentally knock over smaller kids. He’s a big boy who doesn’t always realize just how big he is! We also strongly recommend a dog-to-dog meet here at the shelter if you have resident dogs. Big Midnight loves company, but his size and energy mean we want to make sure everyone gets along safely. Big Midnight can be leash reactive toward other animals, dogs, and even people when excited, so he’ll need a confident handler who can help him stay calm on walks. He also has some handling sensitivity, especially with nail trims, so patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping him feel comfortable. It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! <br/><br/>Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
