Big Guy GDP's Story
This lively young doodle is about two years old and bursting with energy and affection. He thrives on playtime, activity, and being close to his person--he's happiest when both his body and brain are kept busy throughout the day. Potty trained and familiar with a few basic commands, he's off to a great start! But like many young dogs, he still needs structure and ongoing training to master calm behavior and respectful boundaries. He's deeply people-oriented and finds it tough to be left alone for long stretches. He'd do best in a home where someone works remotely or is around often, and can help him build confidence and independence at a gentle pace. While he's curious about other dogs, he can be a bit pushy in his interactions and would flourish as an only pet or the right pal with proper introductions. With the right person by his side, he's sure to become a loyal companion and an enthusiastic partner for all of life's adventures. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Big Guy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
