BIG DOG FOSTERS NEEDED!'s Story

Last Hope is in need of fosters that love the bigger breeds; from 40 to 80 lbs that are often overlooked!

Last Hope depends upon large dog fosters in order to expand our intake of these canines. These breeds include labs, shepherds, border collies, springers, hounds, boxers and mixes of all of these. It is a great way to learn about different breeds without owning one too!

We ask that you come to at least 2 Saturday public adoption days a month with your foster dog so that they can get a home and we can save another. Last Hope holds dog adoption events at the Apple Valley Petco from 11am to 2pm every other Saturday. You do have input on the best home for your dog and will learn screening. Food and a plastic crate or wire crate are provided. Treats and toys are available too! Last Hope provides all veterinary care for fostered dogs.

These dogs are either owner surrenders, impounded dogs that are not claimed or dogs from other kill shelters. They sometimes need work on housebreaking, walking on a leash or basic obedience.. They need to be brushed and loved until their permanent home is found. If you fall in love and want to adopt the dog into your home you can by paying the adoption fee.

You can help a dog find a home while your own dog can have a playmate so you won't have double vet bills too! If you don't have a dog, it is great way to find one that fits your lifestyle and learn about training and its responsibility.

If you are interested, email our office: mail@last-hope.org and we will send you more info about fostering for Last Hope & answer any questions you may have. We would love to have you on board; and so would the dogs that are waiting for a foster home in a cage somewhere!

Last Hope, Inc. is an all volunteer, foster based, no kill rescue! You can see most of our dogs every other Saturdays from 11-2 at the Apple Valley Petco

Policies: You do not have to have a fence to adopt a dog from us, but some dogs will require a fence or acres to play. Also, Since preschoolers are more likely to be bit, we do not place dogs in homes where children under the age of 4 are present.

The Adoption Fee is not enough to cover the vet bills. Sales tax of almost 7% is also included in the adoption fee that you see. Please consider donating to Last Hope to help us save these animals!

Can you foster? By accepting a dog or puppies into your home temporarily and then participating in our adoption days to help find them homes, Last Hope can save more. If you are interested in fostering please go to www.last-hope.org and fill out a foster application. Thank you
