Hi, I'm Beverly! It's nice to meet you!<br/><br/>I came to Throw Away Rescue a couple years ago when Teri, the rescue lady, found me and my litter of puppies. At first, I thought she was just going to take my puppies, but I knew they needed me so I wouldn't let her leave without taking me too! All my puppies<br/>have since been adopted except one (my "twin"), Half Pint. Half Pint and I have been living at the rescue waiting for someone to adopt us.<br/><br/>Since I've been at Throw Away Rescue for so long, sometimes Teri puts me in a separate yard with new dogs that arrive. She says since I'm so good at getting along with other dogs, I can help them adjust. You see, it's a little scary coming into a new environment by yourself. But since Teri saved my puppies and I, I know it is safe here and I want to make the new dogs feel safe too! I like helping new dogs adjust, but the older I get the more I think I'd like a forever home and a family!<br/><br/>Did you know that black dogs have a decreased chance of being adopted as opposed to other colored dogs? Additionally, Pitbulls are most surrendered and/or the last to be adopted. In my case, even though I'm considered a Lab Mix, I still get overlooked because I look like a pitbull and my coat is black. If humans took the time to get to know<br/>me, they'd realize that I'm very sweet, loving, protective, and playful. I get along well<br/>with other dogs, I love being around kids, and getting attention from my human friends is my favorite! Sometimes I have bursts of energy and get the zoomies and other times I prefer to be a couch potato. <br/>I would be a great companion to anyone that would take a chance on me!<br/><br/>Can you finally give me a forever home?!
