Betty's Story

Thank you for your interest in adopting! We look forward to helping you adopt your next companion animal.

All dogs and cats are fostered in volunteer homes with retirees, or with working families, kids and teenagers, other dogs and sometimes cats too.

When your application is approved, we put you in touch with the foster for FaceTime so you can see your puppy in real time and ask questions. It's a process that's worked for hundreds of dogs over the past fifteen years.

We start crate training puppies about ten weeks and send our crate training sheet with every adoption. A fence is not required to adopt a puppy.

All dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption. Spayed/neutered, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormed, parasite prevention. Any medical issue that was treated is fully disclosed. All dogs and cats come with medical records.

There is lots of room to write on the application. Please tell us about yourself, and your pets, current or previous.

Betty was dropped off and left for stray in a rural neighborhood in the country. There was a witness. We will never understand why someone would do that to her. She has been a wonderful Foster Puppy, very easy to manage, and always has her attention on her foster Mom.

Betty lives in a Foster Home in Birmingham Alabama with two other dogs, but an exotic bird in a large birdcage keeps her attention! She will lay on the floor for a long time quietly watching that bird!

She is not living with a cat, but she may have been introduced to Cats previously. We can get her cat tested for an approved applicant.

We do not know her history therefore we do not know her DNA. Most mixed breeds in the south have multiple breeds in them, sometimes a dozen or more. We call her good girl!

$300 Alabama adoption fee, adopter comes for Betty.

Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we'll be in touch in a day or two.

We prefer a vet reference, current or previous, to adopt a puppy. We might make an exception based on the application.

Copy and paste the link into your browser and fill out the easy application online.

https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157

Thank you!
