Betty's Story

She's proof that adorable things come in small (for now!) packages! Betty, a 13-week-old, 14 lb Shepherd/Pit mix (best guess!), loves playing with ALL other dogs - from her little brother to her foster's 130-lb mountain dog - and she even keeps up with the hyper Brittany Spaniel! She's also nice to the resident cat. When it's time to wind down, she'll happily find the nearest human lap and snuggle in for a cozy nap. She's super smart, very eager to please, learns quickly, and already knows several commands (especially when treats are involved!). She's puppy mouthy right now, so kids need to be old enough to handle the nibbles. Betty is microchipped, vaccinated, and will be spayed by the rescue when she's old enough. Located on Long Island. Her adoption fee is $700.

Please review the following requirements prior to submitting an application: All applicants must be at least 25 years of age or older. We require a secure traditionally fenced yard (not electric) yard in order to adopt. *Occasionally exception are made for apartments/condos.* All current pets must be spayed/neutered, up to date with vaccines, and current on heart worm pill and flea and tick pill.
