Meet Betty <br/><br/>Betty was found as a stray in Houston, TX, and taken to a city shelter. Because of her age, breed, color, and a few medical concerns, she was almost immediately placed on the euthanasia list. But we saw something truly special in her — and thanks to a kind rescuer, Betty got the second chance she so deeply deserved.<br/><br/>Now estimated to be around 10 years old, Betty has the sweetest soul. She completed heartworm treatment, recovered from an old eye injury, and even had a stick removed from her mouth that had caused her pain for who knows how long. Through it all, she’s remained gentle, grateful, and endlessly loving.<br/><br/>Betty is starting to show her age — her walks are slower, and her legs sometimes wobble — but her spirit is still bright. She loves soft beds, kind voices, and quiet moments spent with people who care. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and truly just wants to be near her humans.<br/><br/>We don’t want Betty’s story to end without her ever knowing what it feels like to have a home of her own.
