Bethany's Story

Bethany is a gentle soul who seems a bit skittish with all the changes in her life. And who can blame her. She was found as a stray with an “emotional support animal” leash and collar attached to her. She was covered in hot spots and missing fur, and after time with no one coming to reclaim her, she made her way to us. Bethany has such pretty wrinkles, we can tell her coat will just be the softest, golden color when she is back to feeling her best. She is around 2-3 years old and 65lbs. She is dog and cat friendly.

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family. Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun! Our adoption fee is $400
