Bethany's Story
Meet Bethany! At just over a year old and weighing about 38 pounds, Bethany is the perfect blend of brains, playfulness, and affection. She has a moderate energy level for her age and enjoys at least an hour of daily activity—whether that’s a walk around the neighborhood, a good game of tug, or chasing after a ball. Bethany is a highly intelligent pup who thrives with enrichment. She loves puzzle toys, food-dispensing balls, and any challenge that makes her think. After playtime, she’s all about cuddles, happily leaning into laps and soaking up affection in the evenings. She currently lives with a small dog and plays well, though she can be tentative with unfamiliar dogs outside the home. With new people, she’s cautious at first but warms up with patience and reassurance. Bethany responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and has already made great progress with socialization and leash walking. House manners are coming along nicely—she’s crate trained and signals clearly when she needs to go outside. She’s also protective at times, but once she knows something is safe, her worries fade. Bethany would do best in a home that can match her energy, provide consistent exercise, and give her outlets for her smart, curious mind. She’d love a yard, plenty of chew toys, and possibly a playmate—ideally a larger dog who enjoys wrestling and tug. Because she can be rambunctious, older children or adults would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a bright, affectionate companion who will keep you active by day and snuggly by night, Bethany is ready to be your girl!
