Beth's Story

Beth is a sweet 6-year-old Bichon mix. She was released into our care from a
breeding facility where she was used to produce puppies for profit. Her soft white
coat is growing in after being shaved. She is at an ideal weight of 11.5 lbs. Beth
recently received her spay operation and has had a dental cleaning. She is
vaccinated and microchipped. Beth is learning to trust people and gets braver
everyday. She enjoys a cuddle and even gives the occasional kiss. She is very
gentle and quiet around the house, sometimes preferring to be tucked away in her
dog bed observing the activity of the home. She is being introduced to walking on
the leash and enjoys being outside for short periods. She can be left for several
hours on her own in the house and is not destructive. Beth is working on
housetraining and relieves herself outside in the fenced backyard or uses a pee
pad. She is eating a mixture of both soft food and kibble and enjoys treats
occasionally. Beth sleeps on dog beds or people beds, where she sleeps peacefully
through the night. She has not yet learned to jump onto furniture or use stairs.
She would be fine being the only dog or sharing a home with another dog of
similar size and age. Her preferred home would be with someone who is home at least
part of the day and would work with her on her journey to becoming her best self. Beth is
looking forward to being a wonderful companion and a beloved member of her
forever family.
