Meet Beth

Darling Beth is available for adoption again! ♥

"Beth seems to match the energy of the room. In my house she is very active and tries to play with my cat all the time. But when the cats are out of reach, she seems to be calmer. She is a big hugger, loves belly rubs and snuggles. She also will follow her person everywhere and loves to go places with them."

Beth originally came to us when she had her babies in the shelter. Sadly, the shelter is no place for newborns, and she lost all but two by the time they came into rescue with us. Thankfully her pups Rip and Chief Rainwater have been adopted and are doing great in their new homes. Beth ended up being heart-worm positive so she stayed with us a few more months before eventually being adopted. Here, she became a Colorado girl and has a best friend in the form of a cat. Beth is really missing another doggie playmate which is why she is coming back into rescue. She can be pretty energetic, and her owner doesn't feel she can give her the exercise she needs. It was decided that she would come back with us, so we could find her a more active family with another playful dog.

Beth is a 2 year old female Labrador Retriever mix. We are not sure what else she is mixed with. She currently weighs around 70lbs and won't be getting much bigger. Beth is a people lover. Actually she loves everyone, people and animals alike. She is friendly when meeting new people. She is a social butterfly and does great in public settings. Beth's playful is on the more active and playful side. For the most part, she matches the energy of the household, though. Beth has excellent house manners and can be trusted with free-roam of the house. She has not chewed up anything in her fosters home.

Beth isn't a fetch player, but she does like chasing the dogs as the go fetch the ball. We are unsure if Beth is a water dog or not. Beth isn't a big fan of toys, but does like to chew on bones. Beth has not shown to have any signs of food aggression in her foster home. She also does not resource guard things. Beth will give you hugs when she gets excited. Beth rides well in the car, and does good on road trips. Beth does well on walks, but could use some more working with. She gets easily distracted by squirrels and tries to take you with her to go meet them ;) Beth can be vocal at times. When her fosters or away or at night, Beth has free-roam of the house and does great. Beth is potty trained, but does not have any experience with being kenneled.

Beth is a really amazing girl, and anyone who adopts her is going to be so in love with this girl. Before you apply to adopt her, here are some things to note

-Beth does great with other dogs. She loves to play with them. It would be best if her new family had another playful dog in her new home. However, if her family were on the more active side and home most of the day she would be fine as an only dog.

-Beth does good with cats. She does try to play with them, especially if there are no doggie friends present.

-Beth does great around kids of all ages. With that said, they need to be respectful of her space. She would not appreciate being lied on, her ears/tail being pulled, etc.

-Beth really needs a home with good sized yard, and/or active people. She likes to watch what's going on outside and will bark if anyone or anything is on the other side of the fence (good guardian). She loves to chase bikes at the dog park. If a bike rides by on the opposite side of the fence, she will race it (and she always wins).

-Beth is being fostered in Englewood, CO. Adopters are responsible for picking up their new dog, even if they are out of state.

Hopefully at this point you have decided that Beth is the girl for you! If that is the case, you can apply to adopt her at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Her adoption fee is $225 and that will include her vaccinations, spay, and microchip. It will also include her heart-worm treatment. She will also be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
