Beth's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Beth and her siblings found themselves unwanted and abandoned at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are great with other dogs, people and cats, All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful.
Looking for a sweet silly sassy girl with a side of stubbornness? Look no further Beth is your girl.
Beth has lots of puppy energy and needs to be active.
She loves playing and snuggling with her foster siblings both dogs and cats. She does a good job sharing toys and bones. She will sit for treats but can get a little excited when taking them so you may need to remind her to be gentle.
Crate trained- will go in crate if needed but does a good job being out of the crate. House trained- does the well at home alone just needs some safe toys and bones to keep her busy. A good walk or play time helps before leaving then she will nap for a few hours. Potty trained- she is 100% potty trained and will go to the door when needing to go outside. (Fenced in yard would be best as she likes to wander) Leash trained- does well on a leash. She can get a little excited at the beginning of a walk and may do some pulling but with a quick gentle correction she will calm down. Dog training commands-Does well - sit, stay , leave it and no. Working on - down, heal and shake. Her recall is good but can be a little stubborn when at home in her own yard if she doesn't want to come in yet. Kids 50/50- she has done a good job with kids at times but she can also be a little unsure and continuously bark at them. She also likes to jump when excited, so she can unintentionally knock a little kid down. So older respectable kids would be best.
She would love to have another dog in the house to continue to learn from and play with. She loves to snuggle with her humans and be by your side. She can get protective and guarded at times, but you can easily redirect her. She does well at her vet visits. She also does a good job at pet friendly restaurants or events. She loves going on car rides and adventures. If you're interested in Beth, please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.

Matty's Heart & Soul Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet. Your desire to provide a loving forever home to a rescued animal helps us in our mission. When adopting a pet, you have the option of picking one from an animal shelter or a rescue organization. Both are good options, however, an animal rescue – like Matty's Heart & Soul Animal Rescue, is completely volunteer-run and as a charitable organization we are funded through donations. Our animals are in foster homes and we do everything we can to learn as much about their likes and dislikes, temperament and activity level as we can while in foster care. By doing so, it enables us to work more closely with potential adopters to do our best to help ensure a “good fit.” The adoption process might take a bit longer than adopting from a shelter or humane organization, but our goal is finding a match that benefits both the pet and the family interested in adopting. We place dogs and cats in loving, responsible, committed foster homes until the comprehensive adoption process is complete. The adoption process includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a new pet into their homes and lives. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference, background check and a home visit. Pets in our care are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and are up to date on rabies, da2pp, distemper, bordatella, and are tested and treated for parasites/worms, heartworm (if over 6 months), and Feline Leukemia/ Feline HIV, as well as any other veterinary care that is needed. Adoption fees are as follows: Dogs under 3 years = $350 plus tax Dogs 3 years and over = $300 plus tax Cats under 3 years= $200 plus tax Cats 3yrs and over =$150 plus tax
