Bessie

Since she's around 4 or 5 years old, you know what you are getting with this spunky little Chihuahua. Bessie is newly rescued, so her foster mom is still getting to know her. She is coming along nicely on the path to being a well-behaved pet and companion. She is comfortable around other dogs, and likes to run and play with them. She was a little hesitant to be held at first, but once in a cozy lap she melted and now thrives on love and attention. She follows her foster mom around the house. She’s learning to walk on leash and has started following the other dogs out the dog door to go potty. Bessie isn’t like all those puppies who wake you up so early, she will let you sleep in! She loves to sleep in her crate at night and doesn’t make a peep until her foster mom gets up in the morning. You can meet Bessie at one of our weekly adoption events on Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM.Adoption Guidelines:<br/><br/>Must have fenced yard (6ft min) and free of fox tails.&nbsp; Please bring or email photos of yard showing secure fencing.<br/>We do adopt approved small dogs to apartment or condos.&nbsp; Please bring or email photos of patio or balcony area.<br/>If you rent, we need to review a copy of lease agreement that states you are allowed to have pets.<br/>We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 5, unless we know the history of the animal with young children.<br/>All children MUST be present at adoption.<br/>If you own a dog, please bring along to the adoption event.&nbsp; A &quot;meet &amp; greet&quot; must take place prior to adoption.&nbsp; Alternately, an appointment can be made to perform the introduction offsite.
