Bertie (OH)'s Story

Bertie is a 4 year old female Redtick waiting in the Toledo area for a new home after being picked up as a freezing stray on Christmas night. She is a 50 lb, energetic, playful pup that does well with dogs her size or bigger; her current playmates are an 80 lb hound and an 8 month old Great Dane. She has not been exposed to small dogs or cats, but she doesn't seem to have much of a prey drive. Her gentle personality would also be a plus for children of all ages. She is still a tad timid but warms up almost right away. Betsy is housebroken and working on basic commands and leashwalking. Betsy is also capable of entertaining herself and rides quietly in the car. She sleeps in an open dog crate or a dog bed or couch. Betsy would thrive with a fenced yard and a canine friend that will play with her.
