Bertie's Story

Bertie needs a foster or adoptive home. This sweet girl has a constant smile on her face and a heart filled with joy, despite a rough start to life. Bertie came into PACA’s care by chance - One of our volunteers was leaving dinner and asked to pet the dog sitting outside. The man with her explained that it was his friend’s dog who had passed away and that he was currently experiencing homelessness. He said he was having a hard time sleeping at night, worried that someone was going to hurt or steal her. When our volunteer mentioned her work with PACA, he asked if she would find her a safe home. We immediately took her to the vet for care and got her a much-needed bath. Bertie is currently safe in boarding, but would do much better in a home. The vet believes she is about 4 years old and just under 60lbs. She is very social and sweet/gentle with kids.

If you're interested in meeting Bertie, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot.
Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Complete an easy, no-obligation online application and take the first step towards welcoming Bertie into your home by clicking on this link https://form.jotform.com/222028369049155

The $250 adoption fee covers all vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and heartworm/tick-borne illness testing.
