Bert and Ernie and 4 and 5 year old, 15-pound Chihuahua mixes who are discovering the joys of a new life. They came to us after living outdoors their entire lives. Before arriving here, these boys had never been on a walk, slept in a cozy bed, or even visited a vet. Despite such a rough start, they have shown a gentle spirit and a willingness to learn.<br/><br/>At first, Bert and Ernie can be timid, but with kindness and patience, their sweet and affectionate nature begins to shine through. They are already learning to walk on a leash and, while not fully confident yet, they are both making progress every day. The bros especially enjoy the comfort of their kennel beds, a simple luxury they never knew before.<br/><br/>Bert and Ernie are a bonded pair. Bert gains much of his confidence through Ernie, who reminds him that being brave results in the best neck scritches and love from their human friends!
