We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue, and these animals are all housed individually with foster families.<br/><br/>Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility and commitment of a canine companion.<br/><br/>Bertie came to us quite scared, but he quickly settled in and began to bloom into his full self. He’s very playful—whether he’s wrestling with his brother Ernie in their pen or racing around the house and through the furniture in an all-out game of chase. When he’s not running, he’s eating, and he’s been steadily gaining weight since coming to us. <br/>Beyond that, Bertie loves to cuddle. Whether he’s snuggled up with his brother in a puppy puddle or curled into one of our laps under a heated blanket, he’s happiest being close. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves to play and be held by his foster mom. He has the cutest little growls and barks, especially when he’s letting Ernie have it.<br/>Anyone would be very lucky to have Bertie in their life, and when that day comes, he’ll take a piece of our hearts with him.<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE: Bert will only be adopted out within 25 miles of the Rochester, NY area.
