He'll do best with someone who enjoys an energetic companion and can help him practice his manners along the way.<br/><br/>Good with Other Pets?Since Bernie came to us as a stray, we don't know his history with other dogs. He can get very excited when he sees them and has a hard time settling down, so for now we'd love for Bernie to be his family's one and only pet. He's got plenty of personality to fill the whole house!<br/><br/>Good with Kids?Bernie can get pretty excited in the busy care center, so we recommend a home without young children. A family who understands energetic dogs and can give Bernie time to settle into a routine would be a wonderful fit.<br/><br/>Things to KnowBernie is an enthusiastic explorer who can get distracted by all the exciting sights and smells around him. He walks with some pulling and may jump up when he's excited, but he's also quick to approach his people with a loose, friendly body once he feels comfortable.
