He is incredibly sensitive and emotionally tuned in to his people, the kind of dog who notices everything, feels everything, and really just wants to be close.<br/><br/>We lovingly call him our Velcro Sensitive Boy.<br/><br/>He loves cuddling. He loves snuggling. He loves being tucked up next to his person. <br/><br/>It is ridiculously adorable.<br/><br/>Bernie has a soft white coat, beautiful gentle eyes, the sweetest black nose with the most precious bunny-pink skin peeking out around it, and that same delicate pink coloring around his eyes. <br/><br/>There is something almost angelic about him — sweet, soulful, and tender, with a heart made entirely of gold.<br/><br/>And knowing where he came from makes him even more special.<br/><br/>Bernie came from Skid Row, where life was about surviving from one day to the next. He never had the simple things so many dogs take for granted: a home of his own, a soft place to land, or a family who belonged to him.<br/><br/>Today, he is mellow and generally low-to-medium energy. He is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, from little dogs to big dogs, and he is good with cats too. <br/><br/>He has all the makings of an absolutely wonderful family companion: affectionate, gentle, social, sensitive, and happiest simply being part of the family.<br/><br/>Bernie is currently with our in-house trainer, where he has been professionally assessed and received a wonderful temperament evaluation.
