Bernie

Bernie came into another shelter in SE Wisconsin and when his owner(s) never came for him we took him into rescue so that he could get some much needed veterinary care.<br/>He was neutered, had a hernia repaired and will have a dental the first week of May. Phew, poor guy!<br/>Through all this Bernie has been a great dog! His Silver/Gray coloring is so unique along with the contrasting color of his eyes.<br/>Bernie is approximately 7 years old, about 12 pounds, loves to be on your lap or by your side, sleeps under the covers and is very sweet. Bernie likes to go for walks and is very good on leash.<br/>He currently is in a foster home with 2 other small dogs and gets along just fine!<br/>Bernie has not been tested with small children so for now he can be adopted out to families with children 12+.<br/><br/>Bernie is up to date on his vaccinations - rabies, distemper, bordatella, heartworm negative, micro-chipped and will have a dental prior to adoption.<br/><br/>**Bernie is being fostered in Milwaukee, not Merrill, WI. Anyone interested in Bernie will be required to make the trip to Milwaukee to meet him.
