Bernie wants nothing more than a kind human who will spend time with him. He gushes with glee when he knows he's going for a walk or out to play. He is 1-2 years old and still has a lot of puppy in him. He weighs 56 pounds.

Bernie would most likely be happiest in a home with no cats or other dogs. He has shown in our interactions with him that he wants his human companion all to himself. His leash skills and manners are improving every day. Powell County Animal Shelter 's Adoption Policy
We have an application form that gives us information about potential adopters' homes and family situations. This helps us to determine if an animal will be safe in their new environment, and if the new owner would be willing and financially able to care for a new pet and to commit to keeping it for the span of its natural life. In addition to logistical and practical questions, we encourage potential owners to think about how they will live daily with a new pet, and to understand what a lifelong commitment to a pet means.
