Berlin's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Berlin has been doing great! She has started to go find the humans to let them know she has to go outside! Yay! She didn't have anymore than the one accident right after arriving, it was just her learning to 'tell' someone she needed to go outside!

Her foster mom has been incredibly diligent on walks teaching her not to worry about the other noise makers walking by, barking from doorways, windows, fenced yards, etc. Berlin is so much more calm on walks that Foster Mom has even taken the bold move of walking both dogs at the same time!! Go Foster Mom!!
Berlin has shown she has a pretty crazy play style that Foster Mom and Resident Dog were not sure how to take at first. We were sent videos and while we watched, noticed that what was being read as aggression in the home, was being read as just very rough play through video. However, that very rough play, with the wrong dog, would definitely not be taken well!! Thank goodness Resident Dog is a saint and allowed Berlin to act a fool so we could assess what the heck she was doing without anyone getting hurt and only looks of extreme confusion, Foster moms sweaty palms, elevated pulse rate and a margarita afterwards! (Ok, we made up the margarita part!)
Shockingly, Berlin is extremely respectful of the Resident Cat! (Who knew!) The cat IS dog savvy and knows not to run, but they seem to have a little game they play, according to Foster Mom, where Berlin will nudge Foster Cat, as he walks by, to try and get him to run so she can chase him.
Berlin loves every person she meets, she is equal opportunity lover of all persons that pay attention to her. There are 3 kiddos in the house (13,11&8) so lots of other kids in and out. Berlin has been good with all the activity. Foster Mom puts Berlin in her kennel when the doors are going to be opened a million and ten times, just to be on the safe sideand we appreciate that so much! Berlin just hangs in her kennel and doesn't make a peep! She also likes to go in there and hang out on her own when the door is open too! Win-win!

Soooo, Berlin is ready!!
