Bentley

This adorable Poodle type mix was found roaming the streets with two similar dogs who also joined us and all three were extremely dirty, matted and neglected, but they are incredibly sweet. Bentley is 10 pounds and probably about a year old. He has now been professionally groomed and he's been sweet and easy to handle. <br/><br/>When we dropped him off for his neuter, his routine pre-surgical bloodwork showed total renal failure. We sent him over to our specialist friends at Petcare East to try and get more information, get him stabilized and hopefully improved. His extremely concerning test results could be the result of toxicity, tick borne illness (he did have ticks when found), infection, auto immune issues, etc. His prognosis at this point could be anything from full recovery to long term management of kidney disease or an extremely shortened lifespan. Further testing and observation will continue. Still even if he's terminal, we can usually buy him some sweet time with fluids and management.
