Bentley's Story

Hi there, I'm Bentley. I was surrendered to the rescue due to no fault of my own. At first I had a really hard time transitioning from being with my family to being in my foster home. I struggled so much that I had to start taking anxiety medication to help me be okay. I am the most cuddly and sweet guy once you get to know me and I get to feel and I get to feel and I learn to trust you. It may take a little while for me to warm up so I need someone with a lot of patience and a big patient heart to understand I am a good loving boy. I am a terrier/doodle mix boy born 8/1/2021.

I am 95% potty trained and sleep well in a kennel at night or when my foster mom is away from home. I get along well with other animals as long as I have a slow introduction. I do kind of feel like I should be boss and tell everyone what they should do.

My foster mom says, Bentley is a very sweet boy who has had a hard start to life. He does have a lot of anxiety with anything new and struggles to meet new people. He is looking for someone who possibly works from home or is home a lot, so that they can really bond with him slowly and gain trust. He is okay with cats and dogs but prefers a quiet home withOUT small children. We are looking for the right person who wants to work with him and love him as much as we do. He is super cuddly and also is learning to play frisbee and so far he really loves it!

His adoption fee is $175 which includes vaccinations, microchip, neuter, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative. If you are interested in meeting Bentley or want more information on him, please email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com and we will set up a meet and greet or answer any questions.
