Bentley's Story
MEET BENTLEY:

Bentley is an adorable young pup born on January 17, 2026, from an accidental litter between a purebred German Shepherd mom and a Labrador Retriever dad. This handsome boy is one of the last three puppies still looking for his forever family, and he's ready to start the next chapter of his life with people who will guide him as he grows.

Like most young puppies, Bentley is still learning how the world works. He's a sweet, curious, and playful pup who is just beginning to find his footing in life. With the intelligence of a Shepherd and the friendly nature of a Lab, Bentley has all the ingredients to become an amazing companion.

Because he's still a baby, Bentley will need a home that understands puppy training and structure. His future family should be prepared to continue house training, crate training, and positive socialization. Someone who is home more often than not, at least in the beginning, will be necessary to help him continue to build confidence and learn good habits.

Bentley would thrive with an active family that can provide both mental and physical exercise. Experience with German Shepherds or similar working breeds would be a wonderful bonus, as these intelligent dogs do best with guidance, engagement, and continued training.

As with any puppy, Bentley is currently in the mouthy, teething stage and will likely chew and have accidents while he learns the ropes of being the best family dog he can be. Patience, consistency, and a good sense of humor will go a long way.

Bentley has been around other dogs and has even met a cat - keep in mind that puppy energy is not often one tolerated by senior dogs so he would. Because of his puppy energy and learning stage, he would likely do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with a young dog.

Bentley is looking for a family that will commit to him for life, provide the love and guidance he needs, and watch him grow into the incredible companion he's destined to become.

If you're ready for puppy adventures, training milestones, and a lifetime of loyalty, Bentley may be the perfect addition to your family.

Bentley can go home with his new family in foster-to-adopt status until his neuter surgery has been completed at 6 months (July 2026) of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

Bentley is:
Current on age appropriate vaccinations
Dewormed
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Scheduled for neuter surgery at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices (included in the adoption fee)

ADOPTION FEE: $400

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
