Bentley's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bentley is a BIG boy and he requires a LOT of high protein food to keep him from losing weight. He was surrendered due to a move and the woman had owned him since a puppy, but taught him no manners. So at almost 80lbs, he is a LOT to handle. He would require a strong handler who is prepared to work with him on his manners. He has learned sit in his foster home and knows to wait for his food, he does respect corrections, but he has a lot of energy so he needs a very active home or a nice fenced yard where he can safely burn off the energy. He loves to play with toys and will tug on ropes, fetch balls, whip the toys so hard that you should give him ample play space or risk being smacked. He is a big goofy fella, but does have some kennel aggression, so if interacted with through a fence or a kennel, he will bark and nibble, so no reaching through the fence to pet him. He does great meeting people and has shown no aggression outside of the weirdness once behind a chain link fence.
