Bentley's Story
Bentley Continental is a sweet 12-year-old, 11-pound poodle mix looking for a quiet, loving home to spend his golden years. He is a gentle, happy couch potato who loves snuggling, rolling around in his bed, and being close to his person. He may be a senior, but he still celebrates his favorite things, especially his person coming home and mealtime, with adorable little bounces and zoomies.

Bentley is good with dogs and cats, walks nicely on leash, and is friendly with adults. He can manage a few stairs but not a full staircase, and his hearing and eyesight aren't quite what they used to be. He hasn't been tested with children, but his foster thinks older, respectful kids could be a good fit. A home without young children would be best.

He has kidney disease and needs to stay on a prescription kidney diet, but he is currently doing very well and doesn't require medication. His kidney disease causes him to drink and pee frequently, so he wears a belly band and doesn't mind it. He may also have the occasional overnight poop accident, so his family should be prepared for a little extra cleanup. He gets fortiflora in his food daily for this reason!

Bentley does well free-range while his foster is at work, although he can get vocal when his person leaves again after coming home.

This resilient little guy has continued to thrive in foster. Right now, Bentley is happy, enjoying life, and ready to spend it with someone who will love him just as much as he'll love them.

Bentley is a 12 year 11 lb neutered male poodle mix
Fostered in Baltimore, MD
Please apply at mirishaven.org
