Bentley's Story

Bentley: The Timid Treasure with Radar Ears Ready to Blossom with Your Love!
Meet Bentley, a 10-month-old, 40-pound Pit Bull mix who’s a shy little sweetheart with a heart full of love just waiting to shine! This medium-sized, neutered pup may start off as a wallflower, skittish around new people, but with a sprinkle of patience and kindness, he transforms into the cuddliest, most affectionate sidekick you could ever ask for. Born in an oops litter and raised with his mom and siblings, Bentley’s ready to leave his shell behind and find his forever home with Texas Pit Crew, where he can share his endless devotion!
Bentley’s got manners to spare: he’s house-trained, crate-trained, and glides on a leash with barely a tug, keeping things chill. He’s a smarty-paws who knows “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “off,” and he’s eager to learn more with a gentle, encouraging human by his side. New faces and places make this bashful boy nervous, but once he feels safe, he’s all about curling up in bed next to you, chasing squeaky toys, or gnawing on a favorite bone. His moderate energy level means he loves a good walk, a playful romp with other dogs, or a cozy snuggle session—perfect for balancing fun and relaxation!
This easygoing pup gets along with all dogs, no favorites needed, but he’s scared of cats and untested with small animals (his low prey drive on walks hints he’s a gentle soul, though!). His shyness means older kids who can respect his boundaries are best, as he needs time to warm up to new people. Men, women—he’ll adore you once he trusts you’re his safe space. Car rides? He’s hesitant to hop in but settles down once rolling. Bentley’s thriving in a house with a fenced yard, but he’d adjust to an apartment with a steady routine: up at 5:30am, breakfast by 6:30-7, dinner at 5pm, a 6pm stroll, and bedtime cuddles by 8pm. He’s calm as can be in his crate when left alone.
With no health issues or meds, Bentley’s a breeze to care for, though his chicken allergy means chicken-free treats are a must. Microchipped and ready with a collar, his adoption fee is covered for approved adopters through Texas Pit Crew. His white-tipped paws and expressive radar ears—perking up when he’s hungry and carrying his food bowl like a little dinner bell—are absolutely heart-melting. Whether you’re a first-time dog parent or a pro, Bentley’s perfect for a quiet, patient home where he can slowly bloom into the loving, loyal pal he’s meant to be.
Ready to be Bentley’s safe haven and snuggle buddy?
