Bentley's Story

Today we are introducing Bentley. This sweet Wheaten boy is 6.5 years old. He is looking for his Happily ever after.

Bentley came to us from a home with small children. While he loves people, little kids make him nervous. He has nipped at a toddler before, nothing serious and no medical attention was needed, but the family recently had another baby and decided it was best to rehome him. We are looking to place Bentley in a home with adults or more grown children.

Bentley has been doing really well in his foster home. His foster mom, Stephanie, reports that he is her shadow, he likes to be close to her. He enjoys snuggling on the couch, and likes to lay on people. He easily accepts new people, and will ask for pets and snuggles. He's a happy boy and likes to chill, taking it easy.

Bentley also loves patrolling the yard, taking it all in. He absolutely loves walks, and gets excited to see his harness - he knows something fun is in store. He does well on the leash.

Bentley hasn't had any accidents in his foster home. He can be crated without fuss, although he is also comfortable being left alone uncrated.
In his previous home, as well as in his foster home, Bentley has lived with another female dog, and done well. We think he would do fine as an only dog, or with another calm dog.

Bentley is fully vetted - neutered, up to date with his shots, microchipped, and current on tick/flea/heartworm prevention.

If you'd like to adopt Bentley, we invite you to complete an adoption application on our website - here is the link:
https://www.midwestwheatenrescue.org/adoption-info
