Benny's Story
Benny is estimated at 11 months old. 18 lbs and appears to be a terrier mix of some sort. He has the cutest forehead wrinkles and curly tail. Gets along with resident dogs and acts appropriately to corrections from them. He is an active little guy and will need an energy outlet, but he also easily settles into a nap on the couch or better yet a lap. He would be an amazing walking or running partner! He loves to burrow under the blankets for a snooze sometimes.
Benny needs a few minutes to sniff and inspect humans before he accepts petting. Petting too fast can make him nervous. Once he knows you are ok, he’s your best friend! He’s been around a child and did great!
He kennels at night and for a nap during the day. He was reported to be potty trained, however he currently wears a belly band for occasional marking. Not uncommon for a male coming into a new house with other animals.
He will be vetted on the 7th and ready to join his new home shortly after that. Benny’s adoption fee is $300. Applications can be submitted at www.heartrescueteam.com.
