Benny's Story
Good Hair, No Job & Absolutely No Bad Days.

Meet Benny. Born in May, this ridiculously adorable mixed-breed pup came into the world with a gorgeous coat of hair, a face that could get him out of a felony, and the general disposition of a man who's never had to pay a bill in his life.
And frankly, we don't think he should start now.

Benny is one of those dogs who just loves everybody. People, other dogs, strangers who happen to make eye contact with him. Doesn't matter. He's the kind of guy who would invite a burglar inside, offer him a snack, and ask if he wanted to stay for supper. Security is not his calling.

But being loved? Buddy, he's got a doctorate.

And we need to discuss this boy's hair. Benny has the kind of gorgeous coat that makes you wonder if he's got a standing appointment at a salon. Meanwhile, the rest of us are out here looking like we've been sleeping in a ditch behind a Waffle House. Some people just have it all.

Now, for a puppy, Benny is a remarkably chill little fellow. He's happy, playful, and curious, but he's not out here acting like he's got three warrants and a helicopter following him. He's got a wonderful, balanced energy. He enjoys a good time, but he's also perfectly content to relax and soak up some affection.

And if you've got a free hand, Benny would appreciate you putting it to work.

This boy loves affection. He'll happily settle in for some lovings, looking up at you with that sweet little face like he's been waiting his whole life for somebody to scratch behind his ears.

He's not asking for much. Just a loving family, a comfortable place to sleep, and perhaps a full-time employee dedicated to petting Benny. Benefits negotiable.

We expect Benny to be around 25–35 pounds when fully grown, which is a pretty convenient size. Big enough to accompany you on life's adventures, small enough to fit comfortably on the couch, and just the right size to convince himself he's a lap dog.

Benny is still a young pup with his whole life ahead of him, and he's looking for a family to spend it with. Someone to love him, teach him the ways of the world, and appreciate the fact that he came into this life with good hair, a sunny disposition, and absolutely no intention of making anybody's day harder.

If you're looking for a sweet, friendly, easygoing companion with a gorgeous coat
and an outstanding appreciation for physical affection, Benny would like to submit his application.

He's got no references, no employment history, and not a single dollar to his
name. But he's a good boy, and in this economy, that's worth something.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Benny is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

What Is a Benefactor Dog or Puppy, and Why Is the Adoption Fee Higher?

Benefactor dogs and puppies are typically purebreds or high-demand rescues who tend to find homes quicklyeven with a higher adoption fee. These dogs play a special role in our mission.

Their increased fees help cover the costs for dogs who need much more time, care, and resources before theyre ready for adoption. Some dogs spend monthseven over a yearin our care, requiring expensive surgeries, heartworm treatment, behavioral training, or ongoing medical support.

By adopting a Benefactor dog, you're not only giving them a loving homeyoure also helping to fund the second chance of another dog still waiting for theirs. Its a meaningful way to make a difference beyond just one life.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
