Benny's Story

Benny, Benito, Good Boy, Ben-jammin, is a curious and kind hound learning the difference between being a good boy and a goodest boy and have a family of his own one day.

Benny came in as a stray and seemed not to understand a lot of basics. It's likely that he has never been a in-house pet. One staff member described him learning to walk on the leash like he was learning to drive stick shift. But Benny is a persistent student and loves to be rewarded with treats, cuddles, and "good boys" and he has made great progress in a very short time. He's figured out pottying outside and adores hanging out with people.

He's very curious about new things he's experiencing at the shelter. During a doggy play group he excitedly looked to the staff members to see if he was playing right--of course he was, in his way.

Benny is funny and friendly dog. We know he's going to be someone's goodest boy very soon!

Apply to adopt Benny today!
