He enjoys going on walks, rolling in the grass, squeaky toys, cuddles and chasing the squirrels! His eyes are a beautiful brown and his ears stick up when he's interested in anything. He loves rolling on his back and getting belly rubs and shows off the ‘cow’ spots on his belly. When he is out on a walk, people stop constantly to say how handsome he is! He loves his squeaky toys more than life itself, and can entertain himself for hours, but he loves when you throw them for him to fetch. He has a playful spirit and is so happy during play time. But he's also good to just chill on the couch for hours. He is so happy to be in a safe home and if you are his person, he will be glued to your side forever! He'll be your best friend and will show you so much love!<br/><br/>Benji is very smart. He is house trained and uses a doggie door like a pro. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. While he is still mastering his commands, he is highly motivated by treats and eager to learn. He has also conquered his initial separation anxiety!!! As long as he has a tasty treat to focus on, he settles right into his crate when you head out.<br/><br/>Benji lives for his daily walks and car rides. He loves rolling in the grass and has a very high-speed interest in chasing squirrels! He is a medium-energy pup who needs at least one good, long walk a day to keep him happy and healthy.<br/><br/>Benji is a total people-person. He greets every human and child he meets with wagging tails and "hugs." When it comes to other dogs, Benji is a social butterfly off-leash. He thrives at the dog park and loves to chase balls with his friends.<br/><br/>On-leash, he is still a work in progress. He can sometimes be reactive or pull firmly toward other dogs or squirrels, so he needs a confident handler who can hold the leash securely and continue his positive reinforcement training. He is learning and showing improvement every single day with consistent correction! <br/><br/>Benji would be a wonderful addition to a family with children or a active household looking for a dedicated companion. He would especially love a home with another dog to play with, or an owner committed to giving him plenty of off-leash playdates.<br/><br/>Benji is healthy, neutered, current on his vaccines and microchipped.
