Benji

Benji is about 9 years old believed to be a yorkipoo. This guy has not had an easy life. His original owner never took him to the vet or groomer in the 8 years she had him. She ended up needing to surrender him due to being unable to provide the care he needs. Benji is very food motivated and potty trained; however, due to his past, he is extremely fearful of hands coming towards him and needs a patient person who can live with not petting him for a while until he gets acclimated. He loves to go for walks and sit on the couch with his person. Benji has skin allergies and arthritis, which are controlled by monthly shots. He is neutered and has had a dental cleaning in January 2025. He is not a fan of being home alone and does have a little bit of separation anxiety. Benji would be best in a home with no children and someone who has time and patience to work with him.
