Benji's Story
**Benji is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club - this means he has been at the shelter for over 30 days and his adoption fee is now discounted. Stop by to meet Benji today and give him a second chance at a forever home!**
Meet the sweetest boy in town, Benji!
Benji is a 6 year old neutered male Labrador/Hound mix. He’s been at the shelter for a while, but we don’t know why, as we have all completely fallen in love. Benji is definitely a crowd favorite, and he deserves a forever home that will cherish him!
Benji was surrendered to us through no fault of his own when his owner had to move and could not keep all of their pets. Benji absolutely LOVES kids, and always enjoys playing with them! Benji lived with other dogs previously and got along well with them. During his time at the shelter, we have noticed that Benji can be picky about his canine friends. He tends to prefer females, and doesn’t like dogs that don’t respect his boundary. We strongly recommend a meet and greet with any dogs in the home to make sure it will be a good fit. Benji is not good with cats at all, however, and will not be adopted out to a home with any felines.
Benji is a very well behaved boy, and knows his manners. He is housebroken, and knows some basic commands. He does have a loud hound bark, though, so keep that in mind if you live in an apartment or shared living situation.
Benji has received his first round of vaccinations and is microchipped. He is ready to finally find a forever home where he can be loved like he deserves! If you think this special boy could be the dog for you, stop by and meet him today!
