My name is Benji, and I am the most handsome, scruffy little guy with a sweet soul and a heart full of love! And speaking of my adorable scruff, I will need grooming to keep me from getting matted! At 25 pounds, I am the perfect medium sized pup-big enough for outdoor adventures and small enough to curl right up next to you on the couch! Because I am adjusting to the big world around me, I can be a bit shy at first. Once I feel safe, my gentle nature shines through. I take comfort in routines, soft blanket spots, and watching the world go by from a cozy seat. I am fully potty trained and absolutely love my crate-it's my safe zone where I relax happily. I am currently working on my leash manners and enjoy going for structured walks. Looking for a great co-pilot? You are looking for me! I settle in wonderfully during car rides and am always ready to be on the go!
I would love to have another dog to help me build confidence, learn the ropes, and feel secure in new environments but would be just as happy being your one and only! I have a wonderful, gentle nature with kids as well.
If you would like to meet me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can!
Warm cuddles and sweet kisses-Benji

**The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $400 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.*
