Benji's Story

Benji is a 21 pound, 6 year old, Chihuahua/Corgi mix that has a napoleon complex. He is an alpha dog that can be a little spit fire at times. He lived with 2 of his litter mates but doesn't normally do well with other dogs, especially when food is involved. He also lived with cats and did fine with them. He needs a home without kids and an owner that can handle him around strangers, he will bite. He does better leash walking when harnessed and we are told that he is house trained. Franklin County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Due to limited staffing we are not always able to respond to email inquiries. If interested in adopting one of our animals, please visit the shelter during our business hours for a “meet & greet” and to complete our adoption application. We are open Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-5pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm and we are closed Monday. Please contact the office at 502-875-7297 during business hours for any questions.
