Benito's Story

? Meet Benito — 12 Weeks Old | 15 lbs | Terrier Mix ?

If you’re looking for pure joy and endless entertainment wrapped up in a wiggly puppy body, Benito is your guy. This 12-week-old Terrier mix is equal parts energy, sweetness, and goofy charm, with a pair of ears that seem to have minds of their own. One up, one down, both up… you never know, but it’s always adorable.

? Personality & Energy
Benito is a high-spirited, happy puppy who approaches life with full enthusiasm. He has the attention span of a gnat until he’s had a good play session. Then he melts into a snuggly, warm little cuddle buddy for evening downtime. His favorite activities include running, playing, showing off his toys (“Look what I can do!”), and curling up with his person at night.

He’s thrilled to meet new people and greets everyone with nonstop tail wags. He’s also surprisingly respectful for such a young pup, he’ll sit and patiently wait for pets!

? Training & Home Life
Benito is doing great in his crate and is “quiet as a church mouse.” He’s never had an accident in his kennel and knows several basic commands including his name, “no,” “kennel up,” and “come.” He’s still working on potty training in the home and currently wears a belly band as he settles into a new routine.

Like many exuberant puppies, Benito doesn’t always read social cues from other animals. He plays rough, doesn’t realize his size, and sometimes overwhelms smaller or more reserved dogs, though he can be redirected. He is very interested in cats in a way that’s too rough for them, so a cat-free home is best.

? Benito’s Ideal Home
Benito will thrive with an active family who understands and enjoys high-energy, adventurous puppies. He’s smart, eager, and would excel in puppy classes. Because of his enthusiasm (and sharp puppy teeth!), he may be too much for very small children.

He would love:
?? A playful dog friend who enjoys rough-and-tumble play (not a timid or tiny dog)
?? A family that can give him structure, activity, and continued training
?? Adventures like walks, hikes, and outdoor fun
?? Lots of toys, especially ones he can proudly show off during his “Look what I can do!” zoomie routines

? Why You’ll Love Him
Benito is a gentle soul wrapped in an exuberant little body. His big brown puppy eyes will melt your heart, and his goofy acrobatics and larger-than-life joy will keep you laughing every day. After a busy day of play, he transforms into the sweetest cuddler who just wants to snuggle into your lap and feel loved.

If you’re ready for a smart, silly, energetic, loving puppy with the world’s most expressive ears… Benito can’t wait to meet you.
