Saturday 8 to 12.<br/><br/>Ben, 1 to 2 year old neutered male Shepherd/Husky/Border Collie mix (?) 71 pounds.<br/><br/>Ben came to RAWL as a stray. He was covered in fleas and ticks. Amazingly, he managed to test Lyme-free. Ben is a big goofball but also smart. Like Husky smart. He seems to lean towards his husky shepherd heritage. No herding or work needed. He loves to play ball with or without you. He entertains himself.<br/>He is a neat freak and keeps his blanket folded exactly as you left it. He plays with toys but doesn't demolish them.<br/> <br/>He does have a bit of wanderlust. He isn't an escape artist but he isn't the off-leash no no-fenced-yard guy. He has been fine in our 4-foot fence area and our 6-foot fence without issue. He is housebroken to death. <br/><br/>He loves other dogs but can be a hard player. He has shown a little too much interest in our office cat. But wasn't obsessed.

Rappahannock Animal Welfare League's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to make a compatible match between a dog and its potential owner. We do not guarantee your application will be approved for the dog you are interested in adopting.  The adoption fee is $200.00 and includes the cost of spaying or neutering, DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies,snap testing, micro-chip, deworming started on H/W preventive and flea and tick preventive. Puppies under 14 weeks old will not have received their rabies vaccine, and snap testing; it is the responsibility of the owner to make sure this vaccination and snap test are given at the appropriate age.
