Looking for a "Mellow Fellow", an all-around good guy who is happy, smart, fun-loving, active but also mellow, gentle, sweet and a wonderful companion? Then look no further because Ben is the boy for you!!! He would do well in almost any home because he is now living with a dog, two cats and a 12 yr. old child.<br/><br/>Sadly, Mom is a single mom who has experienced some changes in her life and works full time outside of the home leaving Ben at home from 7-10 hours daily during the week. Knowing that he deserves better, she has made the difficult decision to seek our help in finding him a new family and home. She knows he would enjoy life so much better if he could be outside during these beautiful Fall Florida days enjoying the sunshine, smelling the roses, running in the yard or going for long walks with a new family so she has made the difficult decision to ask GREAT Rescue to help find Ben the perfect new family.<br/><br/>Ben loves to play keep away and fetch with his "baby", all toys are his baby to him!! He also enjoys treats but not too many because he could lose some weight but also long walks will help there too. Ben loves to cuddle and sneezes when he gets too excited! LIke most dogs, he gets nervous on 4th of July and during bad storms but he just paces and finds a safe spot to ride it out. He knows commands such as kennel, come, sit and occasionally stay!! Oh, did I tell you he is house trained and crate trained too?? Ben is said to be 6 1/2 yrs old, is a blend of a large Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle and weighs 90 lbs.<br/><br/>This sweet gentle soul is neutered, heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations and microchipped. We are seeking a foster to adopt family for Ben who has someone home much of the day and can give him attention and long walks, a dog and/or cat for companionship, a fenced yard and no children under five years of age.<br/><br/>If you feel Ben is the boy for you, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete a foster or adoption application.
