Because of his past, Ben will need a home with <strong data-start="177" data-end="202">another confident dog</strong> to help him learn the ropes and build confidence as he adjusts to life as a beloved companion instead of a tool for producing puppies.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="339" data-end="686">Ben weighs 18.6 pounds and the vet estimates he's about 2 years old. He has the cutest slightly crooked tail, which only adds to his character. Ben recently had a bath and handled it like a champ. He loves meeting new dog friends and prefers to stay close to the other dogsor right next to his fosterwhenever possible.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="688" data-end="940">This sweet boy also has a goofy side. Ben is very comical and has already started exploring toys; he even tried playing with one earlier. When he's not hanging out with the other dogs, he's perfectly content to sit and watch TV with his people.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="942" data-end="1144">Ben has tested negative for heartworm and will be neutered and microchipped before traveling. He will receive his final vaccine boosters on March 30th and will be ready to travel after that.</p><br/><br/><p data-start="1146" data-end="1477" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">Ben is looking for a <strong data-start="1167" data-end="1201">patient and understanding home</strong> that recognizes his past and is willing to help him navigate the new experiences that come with learning how to be a family member.
