BELLOMY's Story
Bellomy’s (A565160) story started a little rough. He came to us as a stray in poor condition, struggling with a significant skin issue. Thanks to our medical team and lots of TLC, he is already improving, though he is still missing some fur on his backend as he continues to heal. Every day he is feeling better, and we cannot wait to see him fully restored. Through it all, Bellomy has proven he is a very good boy. He is highly treat motivated and eager to connect, which makes him a wonderful candidate for continued training. He will adorably turn his head at new or unusual sounds, taking in the world around him. With a patient family willing to guide him, we truly believe he could learn so much more. Bellomy has been tested with female dogs. He tends to be more independent and prefers to do his own thing rather than engage in constant play, so he would likely do best with a calm dog of a similar personality who respects his space. He may not look perfect right now, but Bellomy’s heart certainly is. If you are willing to see past a little healing fur and focus on the sweet, thoughtful dog underneath, Bellomy is ready to start his next chapter with you. Bellomy is guesstimated to be 4 years old and weighs 74 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative. Ready to meet Bellomy? Just stop by our shelter and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D24. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID.
