Cane Haven Rescue's Adoption Policy
Cane haven rescue is dedicated to finding all of our adoptables their forever home. We thoroughly review every single adoption application for each pet and choose the best home that fits. We are in direct contact with all of our potential adopters to make sure we set them and their new family member up for a successful future. Adoption applications take approximately 1-2 weeks to fully review, verify and approve. We require all adopters to provide their current veterinarians name and number. We will call and get a reference before the application is processed. Secondly, we require all renters to provide their landlords name and number. We will not adopt out until we have confirmation from the home owners. Any adopters with current pets, a meet and greet is mandatory. After the adoption application is approved, a Cane Haven representative will complete a home check before the pet arrives. During this home check, we ask that the adopter be present to finalize any paperwork that may be necessary. The home check lasts between 30 minutes to 1 hour. After the application is processed and approved, a representative will set a time and personally bring the pet to their new home. We ask for your patience during this time as it is a process. Moving forward with your new pet: please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. After adoption, please establish your new pet with their primary Veterinarian for further care. From everyone at Cane Haven, we thank you for your interest in adopting from a rescue. We work really hard to find the perfect home for all of our rescues. We love pictures and updates!! Don’t hesitate to send pictures and updates at any time.
