She loved them, fed them, kept them close, and did everything a good mother does. But she was taken away from them far too soon. No time to understand. No chance to say goodbye. One moment she was a mom, the next she was alone.<br/><br/>Then Belle was dumped.<br/><br/>Left confused, her body still showing signs of nursing, her heart still searching for puppies that were no longer there. She cried in ways people couldn’t hear. She paced. She waited. She didn’t know why she was abandoned, only that everyone she loved was suddenly gone.<br/><br/>When Belle was brought into the shelter, she was quiet. Tired. She carried her grief silently, curling up small, as if trying to protect a piece of herself that had already been taken.<br/><br/>Belle didn’t deserve this. She deserved safety, respect, and the chance to raise her babies in peace.<br/><br/>Now she waits again, not for her puppies this time, but for someone who will finally choose her. She currently weighs 72 pounds.
