Belle Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix Albany, NY

Belle is a 7-8 year old pit mix that weighs 70lbs. She is from KY and she was attacked by multiple dogs when she wandered into the wrong area. (See photo) Animal control picked her up and brought her to the shelter. After receiving vet care for her wounds she waited at the shelter for her owners to come claim her. That never happened. The shelter was full and she became urgent. Belle was transported to NY a few weeks ago and she has been in a foster home. Unfortunately Belle caught an upper respiratory infection from the transport so she has been under the weather for some time. She is better now and ready to find her new home. Belle is in foster with large and small dogs. She has also been exposed to ducks and chickens at her foster home. The shelter staff reported that she did not pay attention to the cats on the property. She is crate trained and house trained. Belle prefers to go potty off leash so a fenced yard would be ideal.
