Bellatrix's Story
Bellatrix (Bella) – 5 month old female mixed breed

Current weight: 30lbs.

Estimated full grown size: medium, in the 55 lb. range

Heartworm status: not tested due to age, on preventatives

Special medical ? needs: none! She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on required vaccines

Dog ? friendly?: yes!

Cat ? friendly?: unknown

Kid friendly?: yes!

Youngest age of children you’d recommend: any age would be fine with supervision. She’s in the throes of the mouthy/jumpy stage but listens well to correction

House ? broken?: almost! When kept on a schedule accidents are minimal

Crate trained?: will do a bit of whining/barking when she goes in, but a good chew toy as a distraction seems to help and she calms down

Leash trained?: work in progress

Travel well in the ??: not her favorite thing, but she does well. Occasionally gets carsick but not every ride, most puppies grow out of this

Energy level (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being total couch ?, 10 the energizer ?): probably about 6-7/10. Definitely has puppy energy and loves to zoom around the yard or romp with another dog. She will independently play with a toy and then settle in for a nap when she’s getting tired

Fenced yard required?: not required but preferred

Ideal family dynamic/living situation: almost any. She’s obviously too young to be left for a full work day at this point, so someone with a work from home job or pet sitter/dog walker plan

Favorite toys ? ? and activities: loves other playful dogs, chewing bones, running figure 8s in the yard

Anything special/unique that makes your foster stand out? She greets everyone with effervescence and a great big smile! Definitely food motivated! She’s very smart and quick to pick up commands/cue words
