She came to us as a stray in March in poor condition. She is a different dog now. She is at a healthy weight, she is spayed, and she is up to date on her vaccinations.<br/><br/>What Bellamy wants is people. She leans into the whole length of a good scratch, she melts into a lap she is not really sized for, and being next to her person is her favorite place in the building. She is dog friendly and does well with other dogs, so a home with a resident dog is open to her. She is easy company, she is happy to be included in whatever you are doing, and she does not ask for much beyond that.<br/><br/>A few honest things before you apply. Bellamy does best with someone around a good part of the day, and a house suits her better than an apartment. We are also looking for a home without cats and without young children.<br/><br/>We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and appointments outside of those hours may be available based on volunteer availability.
