Bella Girl's Story

Hi, I'm Bella.
I'm about 6 months old, and I was originally found as a stray with my sister. No one ever came to claim us, so we joined rescue-and I've been settling into home life ever since. I'm not spayed yet, but I am scheduled to be.

I'm a sweet baby girl with a gentle presence. I love cuddling on the couch or bed, but I'm not overly needy-I just like being close enough to feel connected. One of my favorite ways to show affection is with kisses. I'm calm, loving, and quietly observant.

I'm potty trained and do great even during a full 9-hour workday. I'm still learning leash skills, but I've made huge progress. At first, I didn't understand the leash at all, but when I walked alongside another dog, it clicked immediately. I followed along perfectly, which says a lot about me-I'm a follower and learn best with guidance and companionship.

I'd do best in a home with another dog or with a family that can give me lots of attention. Having someone with me during the day would be ideal, whether that's a human or a canine friend. I'm social and enjoy being part of daily life.

I'm in the chewing stage, but I've been very respectful. I haven't chewed furniture or bedding, and with puppy-proofing in place, I do well. I love stuffed animals, Nylabones, interactive toys, and Kong-style treat toys. I listen when corrected and respond well to gentle guidance.

I'm very inquisitive and seem to notice everything. I have a strong sense of hearing and vision and often react to sounds or movement others miss-even on the TV. I like to know what's going on around me and enjoy following my people from room to room.

When I was first rescued, I was grabbed suddenly, and it startled me. Because of that, I needed slower movements at first. With time, patience, and trust, I've grown much more comfortable, and faster movements don't scare me like they once did. I just needed understanding and consistency.

I enjoy chasing balls, chewing my toys, and being involved in whatever you're doing. Like any puppy, I need time to adjust-but once I do, I promise to be a loving, gentle, and welcome member of the family.
